Connect and reconnect your channels

Connect YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook accounts to a Project, read each channel's status, and fix channels that need to be reconnected.

Updated September 30, 2026

Connect your social accounts on the Connections page to publish, view analytics and manage comments from NOWScale. Every channel belongs to one Project in your Workspace.

Before you connect

  • You need the Project manager role in the Project you are connecting to.
  • Each Project holds one channel per platform. To connect a second account on the same platform, use a different Project.
  • A new Business Workspace must be activated before you can connect channels.
PlatformWhat you connectRequirement
YouTubeA YouTube channelA Google account that has a YouTube channel
TikTokA TikTok profileThe TikTok account you want to publish to
InstagramA professional accountA Creator or Business account
FacebookA Facebook PageA Page you manage, one Page per Project

Connect a channel

  1. In the sidebar, open Connections.
  2. Find the Project and select Connect next to the platform.
  3. In the window that opens, sign in to the platform with the account you want to connect and allow the requested permissions.
  4. For Facebook, select your Pages in Choose Pages to connect, then select Connect selected.
  5. When the window closes, the channel card shows Connected.
If no sign-in window opens, allow pop-ups for NOWScale in your browser and try again.

Channel statuses

StatusMeaning
ConnectedThe channel is working normally.
Needs reconnectThe platform authorization expired or was revoked, or the connection is missing a permission NOWScale now requires.
RestrictedThe Project is restricted by your Workspace capacity. Your saved work stays available.

Select Details on a channel card to see its status, Last refreshed and Granted permissions. Last refreshed is when NOWScale last updated the channel's data, not a live check. Select Refresh to update it.

If a platform becomes unavailable on your account, the channel stays connected and nothing is lost.

Reconnect a channel

  1. Select Reconnect on the channel card or in Details.
  2. Sign in with the same account that is already connected. For TikTok, you must authorize the same profile; to add a different profile, use Connect instead.

Posts cannot publish to a channel until it is reconnected.

Common connection errors

Message saysWhat to do
The Google account has no YouTube channelCreate the channel on YouTube, then connect again.
No professional Instagram accountSwitch the Instagram account to Creator or Business, then reconnect.
Facebook did not share a PageReconnect and select your Page on the Pages step.
The Project already has a connection for this platformChoose another Project or disconnect the existing channel.

Disconnect or move a channel

To disconnect, open Details and select Disconnect. To move a channel to another Project, select Move channel. Posting times do not change when you move a channel.

Disconnecting removes the schedule from every post that still had to publish to that channel, including its other destinations. Destinations that already published are not affected. If you reconnect the same account later, it is added back to those posts.

Get help

Contact support if an error message asks you to, for example when a TikTok profile already has another connection. Never share passwords, access tokens or verification codes. Only you can authorize a platform account, so support cannot connect or reconnect a channel for you.
